Best. Haircut. Ever.

I have really thick hair that grows way too fast, so when I was a teenager I guinea pigged modeled a lot of hair shows. A hair show is where the "team" from Nexus, Paul Mitchell and other high prices companies have the top hair designers come to town and cut hair, to show all of the local stylists the cutting edge hair design. We sat on stage, had our hair cut and styled and then we walked the runway. (Hey... I typed that without laughing! Go me!) Anyway... as a result, I have had haircuts that would have cost hundreds of dollars.

Since then, I have always worn my hair one of two ways - long and pulled back or a shoulder length bob (that is a little longer in the front) and pulled back.

A few days ago I got tired of my hair being longer but I didn't want to go have it cut. I remembered reading on Meredith's blog that she had her son cut her hair - in the style I usually wear - so I asked Marty to do it for me.

I put it in a low pony tail and had him cut straight across. One side was a tiny bit longer than the other, so Christian fixed it for me the next day. You can see the finished product on Meredith's blog. Mine looks just like hers.

Despite Marty saying "I think I ruined your hair" and "Go get it fixed!" and even "Please don't ever ask me to do that again!" it is the best hair cut I have ever had.

Last night at archery I had four separate people compliment me on my new hair cut, and two women from the complex commented the other day.

Thanks Meredith!
